![]() ![]() (continued text) The panels are then bonded to each other with the expanding foam. The roof system consists of pre-cut six inch foam panels (R48) bonded to five vee-crimp galvanized sheet metal roofing interspersed with ribs. After erecting the structure, a radiant heating circuit is put in place and the concrete slab is poured to create the floor and a thermal mass. The radiant heat circuit is hooked up to a circulating pump and a five hundred gallon vertical water tank which is integral with the supporting column. This water is heated with a wood fired fireplace which is also built into the central column. (click for pictures) The wall system is finished off with a variety of finishes such as sprayed on elastomeric coatings or, latex entrained portland cement stucco. Architecturally, the resulting structure is reminiscent of a Victorian gazebo or a yurt and can be embellished with faux stone, brick or stucco finishes.
